The Noble Qur'an » Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) - الفجر
وَالْفَجْرِ الفجر [1]
By the dawn Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [1]
وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ الفجر [2]
And [by] ten nights Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [2]
وَالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ الفجر [3]
And [by] the even [number] and the odd Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [3]
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَسْرِ الفجر [4]
And [by] the night when it passes, Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [4]
هَلْ فِي ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِي حِجْرٍ الفجر [5]
Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception? Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [5]
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ الفجر [6]
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad - Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [6]
إِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِ الفجر [7]
[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars, Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [7]
الَّتِي لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِي الْبِلَادِ الفجر [8]
The likes of whom had never been created in the land? Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [8]
وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ الفجر [9]
And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley? Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [9]
وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِي الْأَوْتَادِ الفجر [10]
And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? - Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [10]
الَّذِينَ طَغَوْا فِي الْبِلَادِ الفجر [11]
[All of] whom oppressed within the lands Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [11]
فَأَكْثَرُوا فِيهَا الْفَسَادَ الفجر [12]
And increased therein the corruption. Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [12]
فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ الفجر [13]
So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment. Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [13]
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ الفجر [14]
Indeed, your Lord is in observation. Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [14]
فَأَمَّا الْإِنسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِ الفجر [15]
And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me." Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [15]
وَأَمَّا إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَهَانَنِ الفجر [16]
But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me." Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [16]
كَلَّا ۖ بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ الْيَتِيمَ الفجر [17]
No! But you do not honor the orphan Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [17]
وَلَا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ الفجر [18]
And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor. Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [18]
وَتَأْكُلُونَ التُّرَاثَ أَكْلًا لَّمًّا الفجر [19]
And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether, Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [19]
وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا الفجر [20]
And you love wealth with immense love. Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [20]
كَلَّا إِذَا دُكَّتِ الْأَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا الفجر [21]
No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed - Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [21]
وَجَاءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا الفجر [22]
And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank, Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [22]
وَجِيءَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۚ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنسَانُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ الذِّكْرَىٰ الفجر [23]
And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance? Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [23]
يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِي الفجر [24]
He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life." Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [24]
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌ الفجر [25]
So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment, Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [25]
وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُ أَحَدٌ الفجر [26]
And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]. Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [26]
يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ الفجر [27]
[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul, Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [27]
ارْجِعِي إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً الفجر [28]
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [28]
فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِي الفجر [29]
And enter among My [righteous] servants Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [29]
وَادْخُلِي جَنَّتِي الفجر [30]
And enter My Paradise." Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) [30]
